Appeal for information launched following two burglaries in Wingerworth

We are appealing for information following two burglaries in Wingerworth.  

Both incidents happened on Wednesday 21 January and officers believe the cases are linked. 

The first incident happened when a home in Walton Way was targeted between 2.20pm and 6.30pm but nothing is believed to have been stolen.

The second offence happened a short distance away at a property in Parkland Drive between 2pm and 7.47pm when a quantity of cash was taken. 

Officers have made extensive enquiries into both incidents but no arrests have been made yet. 

We are appealing for any residents who live close-by and have CCTV, Ring doorbell or dash cam footage which covers the time of the offences and have not already spoken to officers to please come forward.
